Description des missions : Sakata Vegetables Europe is a subsidiary of Sakata Seed Corporation (Japan) and is responsible for the development and expansion of the activities across the EMEA area. With our wide array of vegetable seeds, we want to create a confidence-based relationship with our customers, working to our age-old motto of Quality, Reliability and Service.
Our Supply Chain department activities are essential, from field production through laboratories and industrial processes till the delivery to our clients, in order to answer their needs in terms of quality as well as quantity.

Your role will be to develop seed enhancement protocols concerning the Seed Technologies Department. Reporting to our Seed Physiologist, you will both perform the technical/operational tasks and actively involved to the laboratory projects. Your main role will be to:

• Developed new protocols within the Seed Physiology Department in cooperation with other departments to improve the performance of our genetics.
• Collect and analyse data resulting from Seed Physiology and Technology projects.
• Realize Seed Technologies operations for lots produced under GSSP accreditation (Good Seed Plant Practices).
• Conduct technical operations: priming, seed disinfection, film coating support seed technologies team on daily operations when required.
• Define procedure and working instructions linked to the activity.

Informations complémentaires : We are looking for candidates with a qualification level of MSc or equivalent in biology, specialized in seed technology/physiology, and a strong experience in this field of activity. Knowledge of seed disinfection processes and high chemistry knowledge is a plus.

You are good at planning and organising. Quick learner, you will be able to be autonomous on short-term. You are also flexible and can work in a small, dynamic team with occasionally fast changing priorities.

You operate methodically, accurate to procedures and you are self-critical on your results. Furthermore, we expect strong ability to cooperate easily with people from other departments and ensure regular reporting to the right person.
Mastery of English (read, written and spoken) is necessary in our international context as well as computer skills (Excel) in order to complete all functions.
